I just uploaded a mp3 of our group playing a night on owlshead mountain. Overall it was a great one shot adventure. A bit awkward at times because I had to deal with six players but everyone really pitched it and helped make it great.

I asked everyone beforehand to try and limit jokes and offtopic comments which helped a lot. My biggest problem with call of cthulhu scenarios is keeping up with all the information in the scenarios. It's hard to keep track of every little detail and I had to correct myself a few times, which you may notice in the actual play. I had prepared for the scenario by reading it a few times before running it, but it's still hard to keep track of everything. How do you deal with it? Anyway, I think I did well once they encountered the mythos entities.

SPOILER

In case you're wondering, Matt's character is abducted by the mi-go at the end of the scenario and transformed into a servant similar to McGee. He expressed interest in learning about the mi-go and they took his request seriously. They're jerks like that. I also did because I should have killed his character when he got his hand crushed by McGee but I didn't want a player sitting out the rest of the session.

I boosted McGee's strength, by letting him make 30 foot vertical jumps while carrying a human body. I also didn't have the Dark Young show up because the players never blundered around Clastenbury. They only went there to summon the mi-go. I also wanted the MJ-12 ending because it fits in with a GURPS game I am going to run, but since the players failed to properly communicate with the mi-go, they could have avoided that ending if they were more prepared.
