The crossbow is the height of the Uld’s mechanised technology. It’s power is fantastic but slow. But the Ulds are nothing except cunning and the nation’s crossbowers are greatly feared by their neighbours’ soldiers.

Advanced Crossbowyership uses Coordination + Crossbows.

Stout grip (One point)
The crossboywer doesn’t suffer multiple action penalty if he uses the stock of his crossbow as a short club in the same round as shooting it.

Hasty Reload (Two points)
Speed up reloads by Slow 1. At combative speeds the attack set’s timing is improved by +1.

Keen Eye, Steady Hands (Three points)
By aiming, the crossboywer either add up to +2d to his Coordination + Crossbow pool or can ignore up to 2AR of regular worn armour - doesn’t affect magic or paths.

It stacks with regular AR ignoring - but only up to 2AR.

Example: With his crossbow, Duld Conwick, with his Sense 3, can aim for three rounds and ignore AR3.

Drop and yank the lever (Four points)
A technique which, with experience and not shooting toes off, will allow the crossboywer to improve his Slow rating by up to two further.

A combative rating crossbow now adds the Sense rating as timing width.

Seeing the Dead Walk (Five points)
The crossboywer can add +1d from aiming for one round as well as ignoring AR with Keen Eye, Steady Hands up to his Sense stat.

Example: Duld Conwick is sniping today. His Sense 4 means after three rounds he can ignore AR4. He however also gains +4d for aiming.
