After the debacle of Dunkirk, the British military rediscovered
"shell-shock." This condition, thought after WWI to be cured by
superior officer skills, was affecting a large number of troops
evacuated from France. Facing imminent invasion by the Third Reich,
Great Britain needed to return as many of these men to "fighting
fitness" as possible. In desperate times, desperate measures were
needed. Shell-shocked troops were admitted to civilian sanatoriums, and
civilian psychiatrists had a free hand to experiment on large numbers
of unwilling subjects.
Tinleg Munk (real name Thomas Matheson) was born in Watts, Los Angeles,
in 1971. Thomas’ abusive father left when he was five, leaving his
mother to care for him and his two sisters. Thomas grew up a hard man,
and resorted to petty crime at an early age, but his natural wit and
keenness of mind kept him out of trouble. After failing High School, he
left and formed a rap collective, the Palm Grove Posse (named after the
street where he lived) with some friends.
Any good DG scenario starts off with some small amount of initial
information. It is up to the group to take this and expand to the point
where they have a good understanding of their opponents. There exist
three main ways to better inform yourself before taking on the enemy in
his lair. Research, Stakeouts and Confrontation.
The cult originated in Turkey. Nowadays the cult's "headquarter" is
located in one of the countries that host Turkish emigrants. The
availability of flesh is a big issue for the cult and it uses gangs of
people-smugglers who ship illegal immigrants from the Balkans (and
other areas) as economic migrants. Container ships smuggle these people
( in containers ) into Europe. Most of the containers directly land in
slaughterhouses, but some of these illegal economic migrants are used
in the sex industry.
DG's ROE would change slightly for each
mission based upon its particulars but these are the general guidelines
I use for mission briefings and ROEs in my campaign.
First, the Agents receive their "Night at the Opera" e-mails or phone
calls. All this sets up is a place for them to meet with ALPHONSE or
another DG representative, serving essentially as a Warning Order for
the cell. At
the meet, they receive their true operational orders.
