Project Nemesis is a fan driven website for games that use the One-Roll Engine (like Nemesis, Wild Talents, Reign and Monsters) or Chaosium's Basic Roleplay System (BRP) (like Call of Cthulhu) and the Delta Green setting.
Choose federal law enforcement. Choose the military. Choose NASA or the CDC. Choose lying to your superiors. Choose to ruin your career. Choose no friends. Choose divorce. Choose going out with a bang at the end of it all, PGP-encrypting your last message down a securely laid cable as an NSA wetworks squad busts through your door.
I love Delta Green and consider it one of the best supplements of the
1990s, and if anything, Countdown is better. However, I also have to
admit that the sourcebook -- like its cousin Conspiracy X -- has
largely been made irrelevant by current events.
One of the most disturbing "superweapon"
projects that the Nazi's pursued was the development of reanimation
technology to bring dead soldiers back to life. For years it's been
rumored that German scientists refined the techniques originally
developed by Herbert West and other fringe scientists, but there's
never been any evidence the research effort actually existed.
Bitterich's growing desperation to prolong his wretched hateful life
leads him to send Galt and his Bischofes on a quest to obtain as many
Mythos Tomes as possible in as short a time as possible. All this
international terror and sorcery catches the attention of Delta Green,
who have been gradually closing in on the Karotechia for some time.
With the shocking death of Agent ADAM in spring of 2000 during a
Karotechia ambush and Alphonse's untimely demise at the Pentagon on
September 11, 2001, A-Cell is reduced to the anonymous cipher of
ANDREA. People are taking their orders from someone who's identity is
unknown to all.
After the national tragedy on September 11, 2001, the Greys cease
contact with the United States Government as represented by
Majestic-12. As the technology well dries up, scrutiny of the alien
contact black budget begins in earnest. Due to their increasingly
frequent contact with and surveillance of Delta Green, security
officials of MJ-3 GARNET have become more and more convinced of the
existence of preternatural threats and the connection of the overall
Mythos to the Greys. It all comes to a head in 2002, as America fights
in Afghanistan and prepares for the invasion of Iraq.
If you have a dead Delta Green/Call of Cthulhu character you would like to immortalize, try out the beta DG Mortuary. Once you write it up, I'll look
it over and approve all valid characters. While it does look rough, I'll fine tune the appearance as time goes on.
One of the (many) problems faced by Delta Green is how to get
Friendlies involved in official cases in a semi-official capacity
rather than as outsiders with no authority whatsoever. In 1999,
retiring Delta Green agent Walter Weatherman (formerly Agent Percy)
settled upon an idea and put it into motion after retiring from the FBI
Behavioral Science division.
