The Rookeries are the pre-industrial squalid equivalent of tenement projects without all the modern conviniences. In a place with no building codes and whole families living in a single room, a place of abject poverty and uneducated despair, where there are few outlets for accomplishment.

1. Bar Tender
A tavern at the side of the road, an inn for merchants, a lodge for holidaying nobles, a hole-in-the-wall for gin-sots, you've spent some of your life working in some or all of those places.
+2 Fight, +1 Jest, +1 Inspire, +1 Followers

2. Carney Acrobat
You learned simple tricks and acrobatics at the circus. You do them for money or comfort. People clap, children laugh, and old people glare.
+2 Athletics, +1Endurance, +2 Perform: Acrobatics

3. Carouser
Somewhere people are terrified of having to speak to each other. Find them and do their seduction for them! No one's going home alone tonight. Your passage heralds a profusion of hazy merriment, bad, drunken choices and dirty sea shanties.
+2 Fascinate, +2 Jest, +1 Endurance

4. Convict
You've been in the cells, covered in filth and lice, and fought the most awful monsters for a bowl of watery slop. You learned skills inside you can use outside in the hopes you do not get back in again.
+1 +ED Fight, +2 Expert: Makeshift Weapons

5. Deserter
As a novice soldier, perhaps a knight's squire, you saw the horror of war, people butchered mercilessly. You saw friends and rivals piss themselves in fear. You heard the screams for hours and hours as you staggered away from the morass of blood and shit. You're never going back. Never.
+2 Weapon: long sword, +1 Parry, +2 Possessions (Sword, Shield, and Leather Plate).

6. Hawker
At some point you sold items you carried on your person and didn't weigh a lot. Perhaps you peddled polished trash or fake charms, perhaps fresh corpse-loot, or dabbled as an amateur fence.
+1 Plead, +3 Lie, +1 Possession

7. Urchin-herder
You have procured the unwanted detritus off the street and gave them unity and conviction, and a taste of a better life. Your children are your means to survival and they learn a trade.
+2 Tactics, +1 Inspire, +2 Followers (Street Children)

8. Pest-taker
Wherever people live, they come to scuttle in the corners and crevices and come out at night to steal our food or gnaw on our children, or spread their sickness. Maybe its rats and mice, or Hell-touched bugs, or feral dogs, but whatever it is, the local authorities pay you to chase, exterminate, or wave-away nuisances or dangers.
+2 Student of Poisons, +2 Animal Handling (Chosen Pest), +1 Tactics

9. Tinker
Poor people always have something for sale, their own heirlooms or somebody else's, it doesn't matter. Other times it's the discards of the rich left as trash. Occasioanlly it's loot fresh off a warm corpse. All of it becomes an object of value with a gob of spit and a rub with the sleeve.
+2 Expert: Appraisal, +2 Possession, +1 Wealth

10. Vagrant
Sometimes when all other avenues have taken everything from you, and there is nothing else to do, throw yourself at the mercy of those more fortunate and make them feel glad they're not you until opportunity comes knocking or dogs are set on you again.
+2 Plead, +1 Run, +2 Expert: Scrounging
