House Rule: Toggling, and Rolling with Blow PDF Print E-mail

I'm doing a WT game that is cinematic, as opposed to four color or gritty. While deciding on the optional rules I'm going to allow, I included the following house rule.

  1. Squishy Dice: 1 level, at the cost of 1 willpower
  2. Too Many Tens
  3. Shaking it Off

In addition, I'm adding two additional rules:

4) Toggling: also called Faster/Weaker, Harder/Slower; you may chose to add 1 to your set's width for either its speed of effect or its power (ie, damage), in exchange for the effective width reduced by 1 for the other. In other words, if you roll a 2x10, you can
have it count as width 1 for damage and 3 for speed,or visa versa. This costs no willpower.

5) Rolling With Blow: an addition to shaking it off. Shaking it off costs 1 willpower to stop 1 stun, 2 willpower to stop 1 killing. With this, it allows you to pay 1 willpower per killing to change each killing to stun.

I like the additional of the toggling. It gives a bit more versatility along with the first three rules.

Rolling with the blow isn't bad either, merely an extension of shaking it off.
