Margery Kemp started her pilgrimage in 1413 and never really stopped. She's been a persistant pest (in the view of some men--which is to say, everybody who's spent more than an hour next to her, and many for far less a spance of time) to anyone who would deny women their rights or else allow an injustice to come to pass. Which is to say that they tended to die horrendously if they got too close.

In Margery's words, she has been given the gift of tears, and weeps at anything that reminds her of the cruficixion of Jesus. Which includes crosses, the sound of nails, any sort of physical violence, the sight of blood... really, she's just constantly on the verge of tears, and when she isn't, she's bawling. Thus, her *'ed power gets the Annoying flaw. It's not just obvious, she is very hard to be around, as she's either looking at you with big, wet eyes, or just breaking down like her life has just been torn to pieces. Besides being ostentatious, the gift of tears is an actual expression of divine will, allowing her to avoid all manner of calamity (including her natural death, so far at least).

In a sense, her life is, indeed, constantly ending. She experiences time in a loopy, demented way, as represented with her Memory of Calvary ability. Basically, she sees back into the past, particularly biblical history, as though she were really there, sinking into and out of visions willy-nilly. It sounds interesting and insightful, but really, it's more of a diversion, and rarely grants anything other than purely symbolic (and somewhat disturbing) knowledge. Its main in-game effect is that baleful stare she can give to her fellow Christians; it speaks much of the suffering of their God, asking why they don't weep with the agony of the Lord as she does. The main effect is a splitting headache (two shock damage) and long, uncomfortable theological questions (Emotion Control).

More to the point are her war-powers, the Memories of Judgement and Wrath. The Memory of Judgement forces living enemies into Divine Time (how she refers to her perception of the world), specifically during times of judgement--Sodom and Gomorah, the flood, things like that. They are thrashed to their core, leaving her victims in broken bundles. Does she mourn her victims? Oh yeah. Constantly.

The more direct Memory of Wrath draws, at least for a moment, an actual judgement from Divine Time, blasting her foe in some fashion drawn from the scriptures (Moses's four-second leprosy, etc.). This is actually real, so it can harm machines and similar. It's also less of an effort than her deadly, deadly Memory of Judgement.

What's her current history? Oh, been wanderin' this wide world, lookin' for peace, lookin' for knowledge, findin' injustice and sending it to the Judge of All Life. Her theme song: "God's Gonna Cut You Down," by Johnny Cash (or the Jeff Buckley version of "Hallelujah" in a bad mood).
