reignI enjoy the One Roll Characters (from all of versions of ORE they've cropped up in) but I find they get a little repetative after a couple of rolls. In lieu I've decided to create a few more Professions and some new Events (which I'll post later).

BUREAUCRAT
The bureaucrat occurs when there's too many people for one person to sort out all their paper-work part time. The Bureacrat also functions as a Courtier but he can be assigned to horrible, rural stink-ponds as punishment for some slight or embarrasment to the social order.

Some ideas of a bureaucrat are: Observant Secretary, Dedicated Adjunct, Busy Gad-fly, Conniving Snake-lip, and Tight-lipped Book-keeper.

ESCORT
Not actually a fancy prostitute although the two are pretty much synonymous, the escort is a professional date whose sole purpose is there to make you look good. They are charming, witty, attractive, collected and sophisticated despite your clumsy, annoying, and drunken lechery. To clear the difference, the escort also functions as a diplomatic servants or honey-traps, valued agents of espionage.

Other terms are: Professional Entertainer, Classy Prostitute, Sauce Pot, or Femme Fatale. Wealth functions as money or the value of gifts.

LAYWER
Lawyers are loyal servants of the noble rules that govern the social order in equitable harmony. Lawyers are calculating mercenaries, character assassins for hire that favour litigation instead of assault. Lawyers are vile, skulking parasites leeching off a faceless and lumbering imbecile called the System of Justice. However you see them, lawyers will be lawyers. Lawyers can be Noble Counsel, the Compassionate Advocate, the Distant Jurist, the Unswerving Prosecutor, or the Smirking Litigator.

Types of priest are Mercenary Shaman, Frothing Devotee, Dedicated Crusader, Strict Layman, Benevolent Monk.

SCAR-KNUCKLED BRUTE
The Scar-knuckled Brute, or simply Brute, typifies a generic and untrained aptitude for intimidation and physical violence. Anyone who is not a Soldier but can throw a punch should have some Scar-knuckled Brute in him.

Examples of a Brute are Cove-Skulking Thug, Street-Fighter, Militant Peasant, Bullying Parent, or Unpleasant Drunk.

SERVANT
The ubiquitous servant hardly is ever noticed. Quiet and polite, he is always down the hall or around a corner but there is little that escapes him. He may be a dour grump or a skittish mayfly but when one needs someone on hand who can decrypt truth from gossip or watch what your say, or how to dress in the best fashions, the servant is your man or woman. The servant could be the Looming Butler, the Slick Valet, the Quiet Chambermaid, or the Proud Footman.
