Project Nemesis is a fan driven website for games that use the One-Roll Engine (like Nemesis, Wild Talents, Reign and Monsters) or Chaosium's Basic Roleplay System (BRP) (like Call of Cthulhu) and the Delta Green setting.
I've been spending some spare time working on a more refined version of
my Wild Talents character spreadsheet, this time including a moderately
nifty character sheet to print out when you've put in the information.
I'm pretty sure that it calculates everything correctly, and I added some of the special descriptions to powers that warranted them, but I wouldn't be surprised to find that there are some mistakes hidden in it somewhere. I've been staring at it for so long that I finally decided it would be better for some fresh eyes (and more varied character types) to give the spreadsheet the once over to catch things that I'm missing.
There is a zipped package of free comic fonts from Blambot.com included with the spreadsheet. They are pretty integral to the setup of the spreadsheet, particularly the setup of the character sheet. I have no idea what it would look like if you used it without the proper fonts.
The spreadsheet itself is pretty large. I'm sure that there are things that could be handled differently, but I just haven't figured out the better ways to do them yet. As such, there is no fancy way to save your character information and import it back into the creator or anything, all you could do to save a character is save a copy of the entire spreadsheet. Perhaps the next thing I should do is learn xml or something, but this project was frisky enough!
Anyway, if anyone gets a chance to put together some characters with it and finds mistakes, I would greatly appreciate it if you put the mistakes on this thread so that I can correct them in future updates.
PS. A great big thanks goes out to Simpson's Mutants and Masterminds character creator spreadsheet. If it wasn't for that program's cool character sheet, I would have probably never rebooted this whole project.
I updated the Character creator, fixing some mistakes discovered by a helpful soul (thanks Neal!), but could not upload it to Project Nemesis because the file was too big. If you want the character creator, you'll have to go to the Wild Talents Yahoo group and get it from the files section.
