Project Nemesis is a fan driven website for games that use the One-Roll Engine (like Nemesis, Wild Talents, Reign and Monsters) or Chaosium's Basic Roleplay System (BRP) (like Call of Cthulhu) and the Delta Green setting.
This week's session was more focused than last weeks, and more centered
on the main plot. Good things happening. We also saw our first use of
player-controlled NPCs, which I enjoy and we should encourage when
interesting.
Ulfnacht, the capital city of Uldholm, is controlled by the Guilds.
Some would say dominated by them. Some would even say the Guilds are a
vicious plague across the city. Those who say the last tend to not say
that, or anything else, for very long. This is Uldish politics with the
factionalism out of control. Neighborhoods are the turf of rival
guilds, and political conflicts are as often resolved by skillful
negotiation as by theft, blackmail, or a savage beating in a dark alley.
This is the fourth session of A Band of Bastards. The group has been
resized to Kieran, Lauren, Liam, and Nash. I also have introduced
Company rules to the party in the hopes of trying them out in the new
future. They’ll certainly get some healthy modifiers from today’s game.
Crap. Instead of just one maybe two extra people I could just slide
into the current game, I had three. All of a sudden I had five players.
Anyway, the new players are Kieran, someone whose name is also Chris so
he’s now known as Nash, and Lauren’s sister, Thingy Majig
Watsurnaimagin… no wait, her name is Caitlin. Sorry, Caitlin.
This is the second session of the Band of Bastards. Due to Russell’s
inability to curb his abhorrent work hours has led to his replacement
by Lauren. Russell’s character Drennet has been relegated to be an NPC.
