First of all, each race is worth 5 points in total. That means if you hand-pick it, each race costs 5 points. Even humans do. Yes. It also means, that if you random-roll your character, one of your total dice is reserved for the Race Roll. This dice is rolled seperately from the rest.

Random Race Roll List:
This random list determines your character's race. It provides mainly skill or stat bonuses but in the non-human races it uses advantages and problems to model unique capabilities and shortcomings.
1 - Northern Human
2 - Human
3 - Human
4 - Southern Human
5 - Half-Elf
6 - Wild Elf
7 - High Elf
8 - Northern Dwarf
9 - Southern Dwarf
10 - Hobbit

Race Details:
1 - Wild Human
The human races from the far nothern (or southern) ranges of the world are used to cold and harsh environments. You hail from one of the many nomadic tribes or smaller settlements and you're well adapted to the wild.
Endurance +2, Vigor +1, Direction +1, Scrutinize +1

2 - Human
3 - Human
4 - Human
The majority of the people on the continent, humans make up about 70% of it's population (yes, the percentage of this roll is skewed). They are used to dealing with their many varied cultures and customs. You're one of them and you're nothing special.
Language (of your choiche) +2, Fascinate +1, Lie +1, Graces +1

5 - Half-Elf
Born as the bastard child between an Elf and a human woman, you're an outsider, not part of either society and at home in none. You have inherited some of the mystical talents of your elven parent but your abilities are limited.
Eerie +1, Sight +1, Plead +1, Dodge +1, Advantage: Beauty (1)

6 - Wild Elf
You are one of the secretive and stealthy wild elves. Hidden in the darkest forests of the world since the fall of the elves, they rarely leave their protective grounds.
Sight +2, Hearing +2, Scrutinize +1, Direction +1, Stealth +1, Athletics +1, Advantage: Beauty (1), Problem: Unwholesome, Problem: Underdeveloped Stat: BODY*

I came up with something simpler:
DWARF
Favour Body, +2 Endurance, +2 Vigour, +1 Counterspell
ELF
Favour Coordination, +2 Athletics, +3 Run
GNOME
Favour Knowledge, +2 Eerie, +2 Endurance, +1 Vigour
GOBLIN
Favour Sense, +1 Direction, +1 Stealth, +3 Sight
HALFLING
Favour Charm, +1 Empathy, +2 Vigour, +1 Dodge, +1 Counterspell
HUMAN
No Favoured Stat, +10 points.
ORC
Favour Body, +2 Fight, +1 Run, +1 Vigour, +1 Cannibal Smile

RACIAL ADVANTAGES
Favoured Stat
The difficulty of any Height rolled with the favoured Stat is reduced by up to +2. The maximum the character can possess that with that Stat is 6.

The Insect King

7 - High Elf
The high elves golden age has long since passed. This race one ruled large parts of the continent in glory and splendor but there are only a handful of these now remaining. Huddled together in their beautiful cities, the lithe and slender High Elves know the secrets of the high arts of spellcraft better than anyone else.
Eerie +2, Sorcery +2, Sight +1, Graces +1, Lore +1, Advantage: Beauty (3), Problem: Unwholesome, Problem: Underdeveloped Stat: BODY*

8 - Northern Dwarf
Born into one of the few dwarven tribes that make their home in the craggy northern mountains, you're a sturdy and tough fellow. Even though your southern brethren consider you uncivilized, they have to marvel at your raw toughness.
BODY +1, Leather Hard, Problem: Short**, Problem: Underdeveloped Stat: CHARM*

9 - Southern Dwarf
While your northern cousins focus on blunt force and equally blunt crafts, the southern families are much more focused on the finer things in life. It is for a reason that the finest jewelry comes from their tribes.
COORDINATION +1, Leather Hard, Problem: Short**, Problem: Underdeveloped Stat: COMMAND*

10 - Hobbit
As a child from one of the scattered Hobbit families of the world, you're well adapted to living among taller people and using your height as an advantage in such situations.
Dodge +1, Plead +1, Jest +1, Haggle +1, Thick Headed, Problem: Short**

* Underdeveloped Stat (grants 5 points)
One of your stats is underdeveloped and can never reach it's full potential. This could be an element of your race, a birth defect or a permanent damage from a fight. Reduce one of your stats by 1. If this reduces the stat in question to 0 you have to drop another stat by 1 (or otherwise bring up 5 points) to bring it back to 1. Either way, your maximum possible rating in the underdeveloped stat also reduced by 1. You can take this problem multiple times.

** Short
Every time you take an action where your body height is of importance, you suffer a difficulty of 3-5 (GM's discretion). Examples for such actions are trying to reach a book on a high top shelf or operating a machine built for regular humans. In addtion to this, your regular movement speed is only 12 feet per round (instead of 15). A successful Run roll increases this distance by 4 (instead of 5) for each point of width.
