Project Nemesis is a fan driven website for games that use the One-Roll Engine (like Nemesis, Wild Talents, Reign and Monsters) or Chaosium's Basic Roleplay System (BRP) (like Call of Cthulhu) and the Delta Green setting.
Rum & Bones is an organization based around the galleon The Pearl, a
bastion of gambling, drinking and whoring just off the shore of the
city of Marsui. Rum & Bones' Goal is to Dominate the Underworld of
Marsui. We pictured Marsui like a colonial New Orleans and its city-state
rival, The Keys like the tip of Florida with the Corsair's rocky
islands in between.
For a criminal organization, its beefy by the book's standards.
Basically, we came up with the stats by reading the examples of stats
and deciding which ones worked for us.
But once you have one Company, you realize that you need several in the area, so here's what we have:
Corsairs
Barbarian pirates who raid from their rocky, inhospitable islands in order to eek out a living.
Goal: Steal everything that isn't nailed down Influence: 1 Might: 3 Sovereignty: 4 Territory: 2 Treasure: 2

The Faithful
These holy men and women wish to drive Rum & Bones from Marsui so people will look to a more righteous path. Goal: To convert the heathens to the True Way. Influence: 2 Might: 1 Sovereignty: 4 Territory: 1 Treasure: 2
The Empire
An old imperial monster that could be on its last legs. Goal: To hold on to its colonies and maintain its power. Influence: 4 Might: 5 Sovereignty: 3 Territory: 6 Treasure: 5
Tempest Cult

Through the random chargen using the One Roll Character Generator in Reign we determined that:
Jeff's PC. Eloi, began the war between Marsui and the Keys with a bawdy
song. He also has a birthmark that has him marked for an unknown
destiny. The governor's wife is his patron; she adores him and his
music (we also decided that the governor's wife would be played by Dame
Judi Densch). He also has a necklace that allows him to see Death when he comes to
claim the dying. He saved the Governor's life by playing a beautiful
song once and hence the Governess' patronage.
Storn's PC, Camden, is in love with the Governor's daughter and through
the pursuing of this love has made an enemy of the governor. He also
has an astrolab but we haven't decided what exactly it does just yet,
only that it is magical and cool and chose him.
The Play:
Eloi played his violin in order to loosen lips of some gentle-folk from
the Keys, in town to get some good Marsui silk before the war begins,
so the Governess could get information out of them. They discovered
that the Keys were purchasing the use of mercenaries from the Olde
World.
Camden got into a duel with a captain from the Keys who was after the
governor's daughter's hand and won a ship, the Blue Swan, one of the
Keys' Swan Fleet.
They also uncovered that the visiting Keys gentlefolk left some spies
for an unknown purpose. Eloi, social shark that he is, got the bosun
from the Black Swan, drunk on the PEarl, so he missed his ship back to
port to get back on deck. Now he's AWOL and they're hoping he'll lead
them to the spies.
I'm looking forward to that a whole lot.
We decided that the loss of the intel on the mercs, the seizure of the
Blue Swan and the overall morale bummer of a well-known captain of the
Keys fleet losing a duel with a First Mate pirate rum-runner would give
Marsui a bonus die in the upcoming war. Marsui took a chunk out of the
Keys Might by the Keys took a chunk out of Marsui's Territory. I could
really use a cheat sheet of maneuvers that Companies so the players
understand what their options are as we only had one book.
We were so caught up in the war between Marsui and the Keys that we
didn't even roll any dice for the Rum & Bones organization.
It seems that Marsui sunk some Keys ships but the Keys Armada seized some Marsui island forts.
