Project Nemesis is a fan driven website for games that use the One-Roll Engine (like Nemesis, Wild Talents, Reign and Monsters) or Chaosium's Basic Roleplay System (BRP) (like Call of Cthulhu) and the Delta Green setting.
Recently I had an rough idea for a DG op that's just too nasty to keep from you guys. The agents must get into the Holy of Holies under the Temple Mount in Jerusalem to prevent Something Bad from happening.
This is probably one of the best ways to get agents into Really Big Trouble. Not only must they safely pass the thousands of religious fanatics on both sides in the vincity, they will also have to cope with some of the nastiest spy agencies in the world. Getting away from it again without (a) provoking a major diplomatic incident and (b) dying is probably too much too ask... but it would probably make a great way to end the campaign.
Of course, this is only the rough idea - I'll leave the details as an exercise to you, such as:
- What's in the Holy of Holies, and why is it in danger of blowing up now, after all those years? And it would have to come to the attention of A Cell somehow - and dangerous enough to make Alphonse risk his organisation to see it stopped (the witch hunt in the intelligence circles after this incident is likely going to be spectacular...).
Maybe Yog_Sothoth. The harnassed energy of the world's obsession with the Millenium, and after a 4 1/2 year ritual, the End of the World (TM) Spell is almost complete.
