Project Nemesis is a fan driven website for games that use the One-Roll Engine (like Nemesis, Wild Talents, Reign and Monsters) or Chaosium's Basic Roleplay System (BRP) (like Call of Cthulhu) and the Delta Green setting.
The Leviathan Egg was created for House Faberge in 1911 by Jehan Montnoire, a french goldsmith who had emigrated to Russia after "a slight misunderstanding" with an enraged husband.
He was given the job because Henrik Wigström was busy with the next Czar-Egg. Who ordered the egg is unknown today, but there are rumours about a heavy-set man with a slightly Norwegian accent.
The Egg was made according to very precise instructions and the customer even delivered the very material, an unknown dark green semi-opaque piece of crystal, meant to be used for its core. Unfortunately the buyer never showed up to claim his Egg. And dark rumours about his disappearance (involving the Czar's secret police) made Peter Faberge quickly and discreetly sell it off to an up-and-coming Siberian industrialist named Vladimir Namikov. Shortly after this Jehan Montnoire drowned himself outside St. Petersburg.
Peter Faberge always felt Montnoires death was a bit suspicious and carefully distanced House Faberge from him after this. Even going as far as removing his name from the company payment-books.
