Dating back to the Crucifixion - though its precise association with Jesus of Nazareth is part of its lost secrets - the relic has been adorned and embellished by successive generations of Christians, mystics, occultists, alchemists, and wizards.

The box began as a simple wooden receptacle (in Latin, loculus) and bore the first known coded reference to Christ on the cross (from the first century AD). It is contained within hieroglyphs and the Chi-Rho symbol on its top part.

The knowledge of the Loculus's secret was passed from generation to generation by each master of science and alchemy in his age, on to his pupil. This process was known as the Underground Stream or Hermetic Tradition (after the first alchemist, Hermes Trismegistus of Egypt. Hence the phrase "hermetically sealed"). All were trying to work the Great Work with the Loculus.

This relic has been fought over by the forces of light and darkness for two thousand years. Missing for centuries, the sacred artefact the Loculus has surfaced within the occult world and powerful wizards and adepts are on a quest to find the Loculus and to understand what the Great Work was, or is...

To discover and understand the relic, the ancient arts of sacred geometry, astrology and alchemy must be combined with modern cyber skills and cryptography.

More information on this powerful artifact can be found here: http://www.revelation-movie.com/loculus.html

Was this post supposed to be aimed over at www.unknown-armies.com? Or does NEMESIS include that setting, too?

I did a write up for the Unknown Armies setting but forget to change that sentence when I posted it here.
