Project Nemesis is a fan driven website for games that use the One-Roll Engine (like Nemesis, Wild Talents, Reign and Monsters) or Chaosium's Basic Roleplay System (BRP) (like Call of Cthulhu) and the Delta Green setting.
Bitterich's growing desperation to prolong his wretched hateful life
leads him to send Galt and his Bischofes on a quest to obtain as many
Mythos Tomes as possible in as short a time as possible. All this
international terror and sorcery catches the attention of Delta Green,
who have been gradually closing in on the Karotechia for some time.
In 1999, one of the Karotechia's Bischofes is killed and "debriefed" by Agent NANCY as a result of Operation: SEE NO EVIL. This disastrous exposure for the Fourth Reich leads to a inconclusive and brutal firefight at the Glendale Necropolis. Delta Green Agents buried and boobytrapped the bodies of the slain Karotechia Bischofe and Ritter at the New Jersey cemetery in order to lure more neo-nazis into an ambush. A-Cell initiates Operation: EMERALD HAMMER, a global effort intended to root out and destroy the Karotechia once and for all.
Later in 1999, a necromantic catastrophe (Operation: DEAD LETTER) at Amalgamated Bio-Carb further exposes the Karotechia. In 2000, ADAM is assassinated by Galt during a horrific clusterfuck involving Agent DARREN's escape from the US Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavensworth. As Delta Green reels from this shocking loss, the Karotechia make their boldest move yet; Reinhard Galt, Otto Skorzeny and Bishofe Paul Geiger rob an important grave at Arlington National Cemetary, that of Commodore Martin Cook. The Bischofe quickly reduces his corpse to essential salts and resurrects the first commanding officer of Delta Green.
As Delta Green agents and their international allies chase Galt around the globe, the Karotechia interrogate Commodore Cook, eventually moving the important prisoner to La Estancia. With the information gleaned from his torture, the neo-nazis begin working their way down the list of Delta Green agents from his era. As many as possible are either kidnapped (if still alive) or resurrected (if their corpses are still viable). This mass graverobbing culminates with their best catch yet; the deceased Agent ADAM. Galt gleefully has the Bischofes resurrect the former FBI Deputy Director and personally transports him to La Estancia.
There, ADAM and Cook conspire in their holding cells. It seems that Commodore Cook has managed to dominate and enthrall some of the Karotechia jailers with forbidden sorcery, and uses the mind
controlled thralls to pass messages back and forth to Agent ADAM. The plan concocted by the two is to discover their approximate location, somehow get a message to Delta Green, and break out during the rescue attempt. As this plan is being executed, Commodore Cook manages to convince Dr. Gunter Frank that he can read the Gothic Necronomicon. Eager to be freed of his decaying form, Dr. Frank allows Cook free access to his occult library.
Unfortunately, Bitterich discovers this and orders Reinhard Galt to take Dr. Frank into custody for questioning. Galt, in order to cover up his own complicity in concealing the existence of the Gothic Necronomicon from Bitterich, kills Dr. Frank instead and devours the sickeningly decomposing corpse so that Dr. Frank cannot be resurrected. This unsavory meal gives Galt the worst case of cannibalistic indigestion in Mythos history. As the Nazi Supersoldier recuperates in his sickbed from nightmarishly horrific and disgusting necromantic flatulence, the Delta Green rescue team called in by Agent ADAM arrives and begins blowing things up.
The rescue quickly degenerates into a world-class debacle. Hunting Horrors are summoned and destroy incoming helicopters, Neo-Nazis run amuck, automatic weapons fire, explosions and all the other chaos of the modern battlefield erupt amidst an outpouring of cultist sorcery unrestrained by the need for secrecy. During the battle, Otto Skorzeny turns against the Karotechia and flees with as much portable wealth as he can carry. Finally, Commodore Cook, having had enough Nazi Sorcerers to last him multiple lifetimes, pronounces a familiar doom upon the Karotechia by summoning the daemon sultan AZATHOTH. La Estancia and the surrounding area is completely destroyed in the ensuing manifestation. There are no survivors.
The incident becomes known as the Brazilian Tunguska. The scientific establishment explains the terrifying destruction as a fragment of neutron star that entered the solar system at speeds too high to detect then collided with the Earth. The Brazilian government investigates, but enshrouds the entire event in secrecy, possibly manipulated by Karotechia Bauer within the Brazilian military eager to conceal their ties to drug dealers and the occult cabal of neo-nazis. Cultists worldwide, egged on by the Cult of Transcendance, hail the Amazon Impact as a further sign of the impending ENDTIMES.
I've been eagerly reading all those "The New Millenium" articles, and I have a small question.
In the articles is assumed that some kind of catastrophe happened to "A-Cell", but I can't find any information about it (apart from the snippets in the articles themselves) neither in project nemesis nor in the DG list. Is there any comprehensive post/mail/webpage/rulebook where the problems with the A-Cell are explained?
