![]() He can
change his transparency, from looking like dirty lemon Jello to looking
like gold Play-Doh with about 10% brown mixed in. He can change
viscosity too, going from being a liquid colloid to forming a solid
crust about as hard as a lobster's shell. This lets him build an
exoskeleton (or an interior one) as needed. He can also form air sacs,
lungs, vocal cords and the like in order to speak, but he can breathe
(and see, and taste, and hear) with the entire surface of his body.Loud, arrogant and abrasive, Tuumblor has a deep, dark secret. He is an adolescent of his species, inexperienced and alone. His parents are lost, possibly captured, on Earth and he's trying to rescue them. This despite being, emotionally, the equivalent of an 11-13 year old human. Archetype: Alien (+5) Permission: Freaky alien biology Power Theme Intrinsic: Custom Hit Locations. (+8) All ten of his hit locations are in one blob, locations 1-10. Intrinsic: Resilient (+10) After recovering Shock damage in combat, all Killing damage turns to Shock. Intrinsic: Inhuman (-8) He's just freaking hideous. Like watching the Blob have sex with a Gelatinous Cube. Body 4d+WD (+40) Coordination 2d (+10) Sense WD (+20) Brains 2d (+10) Cool 2d (+10) Command 2d (+10) Body Skills Athletics 1d (+2) Wrestling 1d (+2) Endurance 1d (+2) Health 1d (+2) Swim 1d (+2) Coordination Skills Climb 4d (+8) Escape Artist 5d (+10) Sense Skills Hearing 1d (+2) Sight 1d (+2) Smell 2d (+4) Taste 2d (+4) Touch 2d (+4) Brains Skills Education 1d (+2) Language: Alieneese 4d (+8) Language: English 3d (+6) Language: Espanol 2d (+4) Command Skills Intimidate 3d (+6) Cool Skills Bluff 3d (+6) Resistence 3d (+6) Stability 3d (+6) Miracles Eat Brain, Grow Bigger: Okay, this one takes a bit of explaining. If Tuumblor consumes a fresh, undamaged brain from a conscious carbon-based entity (like a human being) he can permanently grow another Wound Box. Since this is a permanent change, it costs him Base Will equal to the Width of the roll every time he uses it. (Ouch!) It Defends, it's Robust, it's Useful Outside of Combat but it doesn't really attack because he has to have the victim motionless to do it. Starting cost 4/8/16. Flaw: If/Then (-2/4/8) Brains dead longer than a few hours are no good, as are brains that have sustained Killing damage, as are inorganic brains or brains of creatures without the self-awareness to, say, lie deliberately. Flaw: Slow 1 (-1/2/4) It's actually relatively quick, but he can't slurp up a brain and grow in a single combat round. The final cost for his Eat Brain, Grow Bigger power is 1/2/4. He takes 2HD (+4) Elasticity: I took this without the Attacks quality. His rubbery body Defends by bending out of the way or simply absorbing physical attacks. Any incoming attack must beat the height and width of his roll to hit him. It's Robust, meaning it works until he's unconscious. It's Useful Outside Combat because he can squeeze under doors, make instant keys with a gelatinous finger, disguise himself as a revolting but unliving puddle of slime and so forth. It's a 4/8/16 cost, and he takes 3HD (+24). He can stretch himself out 40 yards. Bind: This one I ditched the Defends quality. He can beslime enemies with sticky, burning, digestive enzymes. (Though by the letter of the rules, this goo is odorless.) Since it Attacks only, it inflicts width in Shock and Killing damage, and he can strangle, pin or disarm any target with a successful roll. It's Robust, so it lasts until he passes out. It's Useful Outside Combat because he can use it to climb, swing, or glue things together. It's another 4/8/16, and we can afford 2HD (+16) By my shaking English Major math, that leaves me 4 points if he's a basic 250 point character, so I'll spend those on another point of Base Will ('cause you can never have too much, especially if anyone leaves their brain lying about) and he's ready to play. More as time allows. -G.
